Bend Family Loop: Weekend of Jan. 23-25

Hi there,

This weekend has a little bit of everything for everyone! We have the School of Rock performing throwback 90’s rock covers, kids yoga, ways to get outside and enjoy this week’s snow, art classes, and even a skate competition (plus lots of Kids Night Out events if you need some you time while the kids go have fun).

🎨 Art Play Group

Enjoy an hour of art play with other kiddos and parents. All supplies will be provided, so come ready to get messy and have fun getting creative together!

Move and groove with your little one in this music and movement class! This parent-child class is a fun hour of dancing, songs, and instruments.

🛹 Boardhouse Game of Skate

📍Volcanic Theater Pub, 70 SW Century Dr.

Come watch a skate trick competition and listen to local music with the whole family at this fundraiser for the Board House’s community skate projects. Tickets are free for kids under 12, $15 for adults online or $20 at the door.

In partnership with Deschutes Public Library, the Tower Theater is hosting a free family movie night! The movie is free but you’ll want to grab a ticket to reserve your spot.

Climb on with discounted passes that include rentals for families! With lots of bouldering and auto-belay routes, this gym is super family friendly and kids of all ages are welcome.

This interactive kids yoga class helps kids connect to their body and mind, and runs at the same time as the adult’s Power Flow class, so you can get some time on the mat, too.

Learn hand-building skills and techniques as you and your child create heart-shaped bowls together, then paint and glaze your pieces with designs and color.

Earn a Jr. Snow Ranger badge while exploring the winter landscape. Expect hands-on outdoor learning, snowshoeing, winter safety skills, and other activities. Drop in for a bit, or stay for the whole program!

Pop into the historic Skyliner lodge to warm up with hot cocoa and a fire while hearing from a local historian. There will be kids activities and snowshoes available for exploring the area near the lodge.

Give your craft and art supplies a refresh at this craft swap! Exchange your still-usable materials that have been collecting dust and find some “new” supplies for your kids to get excited about. Drop off is from 9am–12pm, and the swap starts at 1pm.

🎸 School of Rock 90’s Experience

When did 90’s rock become “classic rock?” 😅 I’m not sure, but the kids at School of Rock will be performing all the hits at their first-ever concert. Bring the fam to The Domino Room and rock out until bedtime.

Opportunities for you get a little time without the kids (hello, date night!).
